Volunteer Job Description
Salthaven is a volunteer-based registered charitable organization that rehabilitates sick, injured, orphaned or displaced native Ontario wildlife with the ultimate goal of returning them to the wild. All applicants must be 18 years of age or 16 years of age with parental consent. Opportunities include clinical hands-on wildlife care, horticultural support and gardening, and trades such as electrical, carpentry, or plumbing. The Salthaven clinic runs three shifts a day, seven days a week. Clinical volunteers are required to contribute a minimum of two 4-hour shifts per week.
