Job Description

County Line Swine, 1092 Melwood St., Alvinston, (Adelaide-Metcalfe) is seeking 1 general farm worker (Swine). English speaking workplace. Permanent, Full-time. Rural area.

Duties:

Feeding and caring for farrowing sows
Processing piglet litters
Piglet care through weaning
Washing, cleaning and disinfecting of rooms
Provide best care to all sows and piglets
Observe animals for signs of illness or injury
Check for proper ventilation and temperature conditions
Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed
Ability to lift heavy objects
Familiarity with animal behavior
Working in barns with exposure to odors and dust
General farm duties as required.

7 months to 1 year
Should have strong observational skills
