Shear Brake Operator - Steel Fabricator

Job description:

BRANDER STEEL INDUSTRIES is a progressively growing steel sales business with an immediate requirement in our Material Processing Department. We are looking for a motivated self-starter with great organizational skills who works well in a team environment, has great interpersonal skills, and has the ability to adapt quickly in our fast-paced business.

Brake press/shear operations including:

• Material handling/processing
• Blueprint reading
• Machine programming
• Material forming
• Material packaging as required

The successful candidate will have the following knowledge and experience:

· Knowledge of steel and steel-related products

· Familiarity with instruments such as a tape measure and combination square

· Transportation to our shop in Strathroy, ON

· Physically able to lift heavy loads

· Excellent customer service skills

· Excellent communication skills, both oral and written

· Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced environment

· Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

· Ability to multi-task and work efficiently, while ensuring accuracy

Additional and other beneficial experience includes:

· Forklift experience and/or licence

· Metal shear and material forming skills

· Knowledge of CNC equipment

Wage: $23.00-$28.00 per hour
