Every team member at Parkhill Meats plays a key role in our cold-chain logistics operation. This opportunity is a crucial part of supporting our production operations.
What You’ll Do:
- Cut, trim, bone, and prepare meats including beef, veal, lamb, and goat according to production and customer requirements.
- Skin, degut, and split animals as needed.
- Operate and maintain industrial meat processing equipment safely (band saws, grinders, slicers, vacuum machines, tenderizers).
- Inspect meat products for quality, freshness, and defects; trim as needed.
- Portion, package, and label meat products for traceability.
- Follow strict food safety, sanitation, and hygiene protocols.
- Collaborate with supervisors and production staff to coordinate workflow and meet deadlines.
- Maintain clean, safe work areas and participate in safety training.
- Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
Other Duties: Perform other related tasks as assigned to support production and operational needs.
Working Conditions:
- Refrigerated processing facility with exposure to raw meat and animal products.
- Frequent use of sharp tools and industrial machinery.
- Physically demanding work, including lifting 25–50 kg and performing repetitive motions.

Education
Experience Required
What We’re Looking For:
- Understanding of meat anatomy, cuts, and quality indicators.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations (HACCP/CFIA) and GMP standards.
- Proficient knife skills, including butchery, filleting, and slicing.
- Skilled in operating and maintaining industrial meat processing equipment.
- Strong manual dexterity, attention to detail, and physical stamina.
- Team player with strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Compensation and Benefits
- $18 - $25/hour. Wage is dependent on experience.
