Job Summary:
The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the efficient flow of finished products to customers while supporting the receiving of supplies, inventory control, and cold storage. This role works closely with drivers, 3PL partners, and internal teams to ensure timely deliveries and accurate records. The position also includes assisting with fleet maintenance and CVOR reporting to help maintain compliance with transportation safety requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily logistics operations, including shipping, receiving, and storage of product and supplies
- Support inventory control systems for freezers, coolers, and dry storage areas
- Coordinate with drivers, 3PL partners, and dispatch to schedule deliveries and returns
- Monitor product flow to ensure timely and accurate shipments to customers
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, receiving logs, and regulatory paperwork
- Ensure compliance with transportation safety regulations, including CVOR reporting and fleet maintenance scheduling
- Assist shipping and receiving staff, drivers, and warehouse personnel as needed
- Support warehouse operations by helping with loading, unloading, and organizing product
- Communicate effectively with production, sales, and management to align logistics with operational needs
- Follow company policies, safety standards, and food safety protocols in all logistics activities
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs within logistics operations.
Education
Experience Required
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in logistics, supply chain, or food distribution required
- Strong knowledge of transportation safety regulations and CVOR compliance
- Familiarity with HACCP and CFIA requirements is preferred
- Ability to learn and adapt to new software programs for scheduling, inventory, and reporting
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- 1 year logistics experience preferred
