Job Description
McCann Redi-Mix has been in business since 1953. We are a family owned and operated company. We take great pride in our redi-mix division, but as our slogan reads, we provide"more" to our customers. We offer a wide variety of other services ranging from concrete construction, aggregates, excavation, civil work and draglining. This is a full time position.
Responsibilities include:
- Assemble and install sanitary, sewer and watermain pipe
- Align pipes and check grades using pipe laser and rotary laser
- Set manhole and catchbasin structures to proper grade and alignment
- Review plan and profile drawings to determine project requirements
- Assist with testing and commissioning of watermains
- Signal equipment and truck operators to indicate proper positioning
- Review locates and daylighting of existing utilities
- Complete benching and parging of manholes and catchbasins
- Operate standard construction equipment including jumping jack, tamper, quick-cut, etc.
Education
Experience Required
Qualifications include:
o Minimum 3 years civil work experience (concrete work experience is an asset as well)
o Small equipment operation is an asset (Ride-on compactor, loader, skidsteer, etc.)
o Ability to multi-task and work under pressure and deadlines
o Ability to train other team members is required
o Highly self-motivated, goal-oriented and capable of working independently
o Ability to lift 50+ pounds
o Valid G License
