Mid­dle­sex Coun­ty has numer­ous sup­port pro­grams for young busi­ness starters

Mid­dle­sex Coun­ty is a great place to own and oper­ate a busi­ness at any age. Unique to Oxford Coun­ty are the many sup­ports avail­able to young entrepreneurs.

Sum­mer Com­pa­ny
The Lon­don Small Busi­ness Cen­tre offers the Sum­mer Com­pa­ny Pro­gram to youth ages 15 to 29 wish­ing to run a sum­mer busi­ness. Eli­gi­ble can­di­dates must be enrolled in high school or a post-sec­ondary insti­tu­tion and return­ing to school after the sum­mer. Par­tic­i­pants can receive up to $3000 in start­up grants. Starter Com­pa­ny Pro­gram
The Lon­don Small Busi­ness Cen­tre also deliv­ers the Starter Com­pa­ny Pro­gram. The Starter Com­pa­ny pro­gram is avail­able to youth ages 18 to 29 who want to start or expand their busi­ness. To be eli­gi­ble you must not be a stu­dent in school. The pro­gram pro­vides busi­ness train­ing, men­tor­ship and grants up to $5000 to start or expand your cur­rent busi­ness. Futur­pre­neur Cana­da
Futur­pre­neur Cana­da, for­mal­ly the Cana­di­an Youth Busi­ness Foun­da­tion, offers a range of online resources and men­tor­ship sup­ports. The Start Up Pro­gram is avail­able to young entre­pre­neurs ages 18 to 39 and offers low inter­est busi­ness loans up to $45,000 with an approved busi­ness plan and cred­it check.
