Job Description

About the Position 

Strathroy Audio Video is looking for a reliable Part-Time Audio/Video Installer to join our team. The successful candidate will assist with the installation, setup, and servicing of residential audio, video, and home technology systems. 

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, has an interest in technology, and takes pride in providing quality workmanship and customer service. 

 Key Responsibilities 

  • Install and set up televisions, speakers, home audio/video equipment, and related technology
  • Mount TVs and other equipment safely and securely
  • Run, terminate, organize, and conceal audio/video and low-voltage wiring
  • Assist with home theatre, networking, and smart-home installations
  • Use basic hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Troubleshoot installation and equipment issues
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Communicate professionally with customers while working in their homes
  • Follow installation instructions, safety procedures, and company standards
  • Assist senior installers with larger or more complex projects

Experience Required

Qualifications 

  • No experience required – will be trained by Head Installer
  • Bondable and reliable
  • Professional appearance, customer-service attitude, well mannered
  • Strong communication skills
  • Fully understand that the successful candidate is the last point of customer contact representing the employer
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Able to lift TV’s and Audio equipment
  • Mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand and power tools
  • Ability to follow instructions and learn new products and systems
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment and work from ladders when required
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Adaptable to various work duties
