Job Summary
To operate equipment and assemble components, in all areas of secondary operation.
Responsibilities
- Operation of secondary equipment. Assembling, sorting, and packing of parts. Part inspection, removing any loose flash and burrs.
- Maintaining a clean and environmentally safe environment. Removing machine turnings, stacking finished goods, garbage removal. Clean-up work areas, wash station down, clean screens and empty trays.
- Ability to lift and carry items ranging from minimum (1 lbs) to maximum (30 lbs)
- Standing for long periods (on their feet for the entire shift except for breaks)
- Bending (15–20%), kneeling (1%), reaching (15–20%)
- Repetitive motions (80%)
- Walking or climbing stairs/ladders (10–15%), only when doing repairs or visiting the supervisor’s office
Work Environment
- Exposure to noise (must wear hearing protection on the floor; exposed to high noise levels the entire time while on the floor)
- Temperature conditions (hot/cold environments); heat break policy is in effect due to the temperatures during the summer months
Education, experience and skills
- Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent
