Job Description

Overview

Under the direction of the Director of Resident Care, the Assistant Director of Resident Care (ADRC) oversees the day-to-day operations of the Nursing Department, ensuring clinical continuity and compliance with all applicable legislation while supporting the management of resident care and nursing services at Strathmere Lodge. In the absence of the Director of Resident Care, the ADRC assumes their management responsibilities and takes overall operational responsibility for the home when both the Director and Administrator are absent.

Education

Post Secondary Degree

Experience Required

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) and/or Diploma in Nursing

  • Certificate in DRC/ADRC course or similar nursing management course preferred

  • Registered Nurse with current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario with no restrictions

  • Minimum of five years experience in a nursing managerial role, preferably in a long-term care

  • Long-term care experience

  • Current Criminal Record Check with a Vulnerable Sector Screening that is satisfactory to the County of Middlesex

Compensation and Benefits

$67.57 - $79.05 per hour/ $122,977.40 - $143, 871 per annum
