Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect eggs from poultry barns throughout the day.
  • Inspect, sort, and handle eggs carefully to maintain quality standards.
  • Identify and remove cracked, dirty, or damaged eggs.
  • Assist with cleaning and sanitizing barns, equipment, and work areas.
  • Complete basic production records and paperwork as required.
  • Monitor bird health and report concerns to supervisors.
  • Follow animal welfare, biosecurity, and food safety procedures.
  • Assist with general farm labour duties and other tasks as assigned. 

Working Conditions

  • Fast-paced agricultural production environment.
  • Exposure to dust, barn conditions, and varying temperatures.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable performing routine tasks while maintaining high quality standards

Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable, dependable, punctual and able to follow instructions.
  • Strong work ethic
  • Comfortable working around poultry and in agricultural environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control.
  • Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, lifting, and performing repetitive tasks.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including some weekends and holidays as required.
