Dog Daycare Attendant

We are seeking a friendly and energetic Dog Daycare Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, well-being, and happiness of dogs in our care. The ideal candidate is passionate about animals, provides excellent customer service to pet owners, and is comfortable handling dogs of various sizes and temperaments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cleaning and Sanitation: Cleaning kennels, and common areas; washing food/water bowls and bedding.
• Animal Care: Feeding, providing water, administering medication, and monitoring health.
• Exercise and Enrichment: Supervise and interact with dogs during walks, play time and rest periods to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment, comforting anxious animals.
• Grooming: Bathing, brushing, and basic grooming duties (nail trimming, ear cleaning).
• Customer Service: Assisting with check-ins/check-outs, transporting dogs to owners, and reporting on behavior
• Monitor dog behavior to prevent conflicts or injuries, intervening as necessary

Required Skills and Qualifications:

•  Previous experience working with animals and customer service is preferred but not required.  
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling large or heavy dogs or equipment
• Strong communication skills to interact professionally with pet owners and team members
• This role can be physically demanding and involves regular, daily cleaning.
• Exposure to high noise levels, animal waste, and cleaning chemicals.

$18/hour
