What to Expect
As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various types of water well and water pump equipment, water treatment systems, and ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
• Installation and Repair: Install and repair equipment, machinery, and systems relevant to the specific industry.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose issues and malfunctions in equipment and systems, providing effective solutions to restore functionality.
• Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment operates efficiently and to minimize downtime.
• Customer Service: Interact with customers to understand their needs, provide technical support, and ensure a positive service experience.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of service performed, parts used, and customer interactions to ensure compliance and facilitate future service needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications
• Experience: Experienced Well Technician is ideal. Experience in plumbing and electrical is an asset. Proven experience in a similar role, demonstrating hands-on proficiency with industry-specific systems and equipment.
• Technical Skills: Understanding of Water Well and Pumping Systems. Willing to train the right candidates. Ability to read technical manuals and schematics is required.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
• Communication: Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with customers and team members.
Work Environment
Service Technicians work in the field, travelling to various locations for service appointments. You will be working outdoors year-round, in all weather conditions. Some in-shop duties may include replenishing stock, testing parts, and performing water tests. Occasional in-office work may be required for meetings and training sessions.
What is Required?
• Valid G driver’s licence with a good driving record. Possession of an AZ or DZ licence is considered an asset and is reflected in compensation.
• Submission of a current Driver abstract (MVR) and CVOR Driver abstract (CVDR) is required.
• Must be able to lift heavy weights (50 lb+) repetitively.
• A positive and serviceable attitude is essential.
