Job Description

Position Overview 

The Bulk Fertilizer Blending Lead oversees the daily operations and maintenance of our fertilizer plant and related facilities. This hands-on role ensures the safe, efficient, and organized movement of fertilizer products while maintaining a clean, functional, and safe workplace. The ideal candidate brings strong mechanical and organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee fertilizer plant operations, ensuring safe and efficient blending, loading, and unloading.
  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing fertilizer shipments, documentation, and inventory tracking.
  • Implement and maintain preventative maintenance programs on plant equipment.
  • Ensure all buildings, yards, and work areas remain clean, organized, and safe year-round.
  • Promote and uphold all company safety procedures and policies.
  • Support seasonal operational needs and assist team members as required.
  • Daily Reporting to Logistics Coordinator and Site Manager

Experience Required

Qualifications

  • Experience in operations, agriculture, or a related industrial setting preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
  • Familiarity with fertilizer blending, handling, or logistics is considered an asset.
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and stay organized under pressure.
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to safety.
  • Open-minded and reacts positively to change; willingness to take on new challenges
  • Valid driver’s license required; forklift or equipment operation experience an asset.
