Job Description

Caradoc Animal Clinic in Strathroy is looking for a full-time Veterinary Assistant to join our dedicated and compassionate team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use Avimark (medical record software program) to input client and patient information upon arrival
  • Perform financial transactions accurately
  • Communicate effectively with clients via phone, email, and in person
  • Assist RVTs and veterinarians during a variety of procedures
  • Support RVTs with tasks such as IV catheter placement, blood draws, radiographs   and treatments
  • Provide care for in-patients including husbandry, feeding, and walking
  • Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked treatment areas

Education

Post Secondary Diploma

Experience Required

Qualifications:

  • Veterinary Assistant diploma is an asset but not required

  • Previous experience in a veterinary setting is an asset but not required
