Job Description
The position of Trailer Technician is to provide services and repairs. This is a manual labour job, there will be some work outdoors in all weather conditions.
We are looking for someone with the ability to or has:
- Diagnose wiring issues
- Perform Routine maintenance of company equipment
- Fix Defective or broken trailers
- Drive Heavy Equipment
- Attention to Detail
- Takes pride in work
- Willing to Learn
- Problem Solving Skills
- Perform some minor Welding
- Politely acknowledge and great all customers
- Keep trailers and yard clean and organized
- PDI all new trailers coming in (pre delivery inspection)
- Maintaining shop schedule by prioritizing customer demands
- Unload trailer loads that come in
- Filling out proper paperwork for each task as outlined by management
- Assist customers with hook ups of trailers
- Installing any extra accessories such as E-track, D-Rings, spare tire mounts, ladder racks, etc.
Education
Experience Required
- Knowledge of hooking up trailers and being comfortable with small parts installations in a garage setting is considered an asset
- Trades fit and finish experience would be an asset
- Experience driving tractors an asset
- Would prefer local individuals
- Must have reliable transportation
