Job Description

Second Chance Community Store (owned and operated by Strathroy Community Christian School) is looking to hire a student for the Canada Summer Jobs program

Who we are:

Second Chance Community Store is a registered charity store and has operated for more than 10 y ears in our community selling used appliances, furniture, tools, construction materials, antiques, house hold décor items and much more. We exist to support the operations of Strathroy Community Christian School. We aim to be the first choice in the area by maintaining standards for the types of goods we sell as well as the customer service we provide. We are a volunteer-supported organization with a few paid staff.

Who we are looking for:

We are looking for a student who is energetic, friendly, has a positive attitude and is excited to learn new skills in this fast paced retail business. 

  • Canadian citizen
  • Attending college/university in September
  • Between the ages of 18-25
  • Valid Social Insurance Number
  • Good communication skills
  • Eager to learn new skills
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. with assistance of proper equipment
  • Has CSA approved safety shoes or boots

Compensation and Benefits

$17.20/hr.
