Job Description
The Quality Lab Material Technician at our Thorndale, Ontario facility plays an important role within our quality team. This position requires accurate testing of raw materials and some finish goods on a daily basis and frequently in a high-volume environment. Interacts with other lab technicians, production team members frequently while testing various components with a focus on raw materials. The role reports directly to the Quality Assurance Manager of the Thorndale lab.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure a Safe Work environment for all team members and maintain a safe working record, while following all safety protocols
- Perform Raw Material testing of various materials
- Analyze samples and provide reports
- Assist in developing and writing lab and quality control procedures
- Determine test results and act accordingly
- Partner with other site leaders (Production, Palletization, Maintenance, etc.) to ensure customer satisfaction
- Maintain and build job skills through company and outside training programs
- Understand and practice ADS CORE VALUES
Education
Experience Required
Job Skills:
- Strong organizational skills and time management
- Intermediate Math skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a problem solving mentality
- Ability to communicate effectively at different levels within the organization
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Organizational skills and ability to plan, forecast and pivot in order to meet production needs
- Strong computer skills and abilities (Office 365, Power BI)
