Job Description
Under the supervision of the Environmental Services Manager, the Laundry Washer/Worker sorts, weighs, washes and folds linen and resident clothing. Attends to resident admissions/ discharges. Carries out labelling, mending and alterations.
This is a permanent, part-time, relief/on-call position. Relief/on-call shifts may vary. The successful candidate must be available to work weekdays, weekends and statutory holidays, and must be available on short notice for call in shifts. This is a unionized position within our UNIFOR bargaining unit.
Location: The position is located at 599 Albert Street, Strathroy, Ontario.

Education
Experience Required
- Minimum completion of Grade 10
- Previous experience in laundry operations in health care, institutional or hospitality settings
- Current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening that is satisfactory to Strathmere Lodge/Middlesex County
- Completion of TB testing (a two-step TB test dated within the last 12 months or a one-step TB test dated within the last 12 months will be accepted if a two-step TB test was previously completed)
