Job Description
Software Tester Job Description: A software tester, also known as a software test engineer or quality assurance (QA) tester, is responsible for designing test scenarios to evaluate software usability. Their key duties include executing tests, analyzing results, and preparing reports on defects and effectiveness for the production team. Additionally, software testers may interact with clients to understand product requirements. To excel in this role, candidates should have a working knowledge of software, test design, and the ability to communicate effectively. Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing software requirements and preparing test scenarios.
- Executing tests on software usability.
- Analyzing test results related to database impacts, errors, and usability.
- Preparing comprehensive reports for the design team.
- Interacting with clients to understand product requirements.
- Participating in design reviews and providing input on requirements and potential issues.
Education
Experience Required
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- Up-to-date knowledge of software test design and testing methodologies.
- Working knowledge of test techniques and compatibility with various software programs.
- Familiarity with programming.
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
