Job Description

Are you looking to get into the trades? Unsure how? Ready to learn about carpentry? As a General Labourer at Komoka Carpentry, you will assist with various renovation projects in the local community. This is a temporary summer position from June to August, involving both indoor and outdoor work, including:

  • Demolition and installation of kitchens, bathrooms, basements, decks, and sheds.
  • Performing tasks such as framing, drywall installation, flooring, tiling, and painting.
  • Using power tools, heavy lifting, and carrying materials.
  • Working in diverse environments, adhering to safety and efficiency standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with all aspects of renovation projects, from demolition to finishing touches.
  • Follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Maintain a safe and professional work environment.
  • Communicate respectfully with coworkers and clients.

Experience Required

Qualifications

  • Driver's license preferred.
  • Interest in starting a career in the trades, particularly carpentry.
  • Good manual dexterity and comfort with hands-on work.
  • Willingness to work both indoors and outdoors.
  • Experience with power tools is an asset.
  • Must be bondable.
