About
Our Founding
In 1981 Garry & Darlene Gilroy purchased an existing barn equipment business and renamed it to Melbourne Farm Automation Ltd. In 1983 Grain Bins were added to the product line. As the need for on-farm drying storage was becoming more prevalent in 1984 Melbourne Farm Automation relocated to a bigger property on the edge of town. This continued growth begged for more trucks, tools and staff.
Growth & Beyond
In 1995 Melbourne Farm Automation started it's electrical division and could now complete jobs from start to finish. In the fall of 1997, a new shop was built making room for the now 50+ skilled and staff members and 30+ trucks. Over the years Melbourne Farm Automation has transformed into a thriving full-scale business, never losing sight of their priorty of serving the loyal farming community.
